I also see they have, and only god alone knows why, scraped an 88-second teaser together for SW Ep 7; I wont bother linking anything, its out there if anyone wants it

Black guy for the diversity wonks - check
Cute droid - check
Unknown stuff attempting to be dramatic - check
Shot of what I can only guess is the Falcon - check
Yet another gimmicky sith lightsabre - check.....

This, has the potential to be so fucking bad , it might break the meter
The fucking Falcon even just looked wrong. How much is having a teaser now when anyone with a brainstem wouldnt even bother this far in advance, lord knows. But it just looked like shit. And why you should take the time polishing things properly in post, so you release your trailer normally, like 6 months out, then the 2nd 2 months out.

Right now, this looks like every bad feeling us old stupid folks had about JJ running things
We'll see

Odd but functional Lightsaber. Get in close, strike with the main blade, your opponent blocks. Use blocking blade as the fulcrum in a lever, and drive the handle forward under the block, shoving one of the guard blades right into his chest. Ouch.
I had to watch 1:00-1:09 about 8 times before I figured out what's messing with the perspective--the thrust vectoring flaps on the back end are actually WORKING, and changing the profile/position of the engine nozzle as it throttles up and down and maneuvers.
Damn those evil CGI programmers for making small moving parts actually move. I'm a true SW fan which means I think realistic space ships suck. I want my crappy plastic model on a stick back. :P

Unless of course you fighting someone ,like, Dooku, say.
Who WANTS you to get in close, and lock blades
Then with superior blade speed, disengage, strike, strike again, leaving you on the floor wondering which part of your face you'd like chopped off first....

Too much of the wouldntitbecoolif stuff is infecting movies on a good day. If it takes root here, substituting that for something radical, like, A Story, we are screwed
