I've been a lurker for a while now and i think its about time i introduce myself.
I'm sinker90, I would prefer not to use my real name yet.
I'm a straight guy and I've always liked nature ever since I was little.
I've also always liked gooey messy things like mud and quicksand.
I discovered I had a quicksand/mud fetish when I was around 12 years old.
Unlike a lot of people here I told my parents about it, luckily they didn't mind at all.
My favorite quicksand scenario is non fatal and where the girl takes pleasure in being trapped in
the quicksand, mud or any other gooey substance she may be stuck in. my favorite sinking depth is
either crotch deep or chest deep, I also like to play video games and have a knack for paper crafts.

I don't always respond to new member intros, but yours intrigued me. In addition to a wishing you a warm welcome, I'd also like to ask you a couple questions if that's okay.
First and foremost, what compelled you to tell your parents? And when you did, did you mention that your fascination (or whatever you prefer to call it) was sexual in nature, or did you just mention that it was a fascination and leave it at that? Also, what age were you when you told them, and what was their reaction? But mostly I'm just curious as to why you felt the need to tell them. Or was it a situation wherein they found some evidence, so you just laid it out? I ask because when I was younger I occasionally attempted to draw anime girls in quicksand and whatnot, and sometimes I wonder if my mom ever found any of those drawings (I hid them, but probably not SUPER well), and sometimes I wonder what her thoughts/reactions would have been if she had found them, or any other evidence of my fetish (but I have neither the courage nor the slightest desire to ask).
And P.S.: What vidya games?

to answer the first question I was around 13 when told my parents because I thought it would be better to tell them outright than to have them accidentally stumble upon some quicksand pictures or other things and confront me about it. of course I was very careful about things like that but everybody makes mistakes so I thought they might find out anyway. they were also generally very accepting parents and were rather eccentric too, I only really told my mom it was sexual in nature because I had a better relationship with her than my dad, she also told me she did some fetishy stuff when she was in her youth. when I told my mom about it, it turned out she was totally fine with it and after that I was pretty relieved. to answer the second question I like action adventure video games, preferably ones where you get to explore to find hidden secrets or have an open world.

Re: I think its time I introduce myself
Welcome to Quicksand Fans!
You are lucky to have accepting parents. Years ago, my mom overheard me arguing with a friend who couldn't understand my fascination, and then I had to tell her, letting her know it was a sexual thing, but not mentioning the full extent of the depth of the mud I played in. She didn't understand, and was after me to quit. My dad doesn't know, and he is someone who would get upset over my various other personality "quirks", and because he has suffered heart attacks in the past, I can't allow him to find out. My mom really scared me at times when she would out of the blue ask me if I had taken any mud baths lately, and my dad was in the other room.
Fortunately, he never heard. Now, years later, fortunately, my mom either thinks I stopped playing in mud long ago, or has forgotten about it. However, I have to watch what I say, because I don't want to jar her memory. One time, I was singing the Coppertone jingle "Flash it, the smart tan... Flash it, the fast tan... Flash it, the Coppertone tan... Flash it, the Coppertone tan.", and the mental image of someone flashing their body jogged her memory, and she started asking me about it again, for the first time in years!
Now, she seems to have forgotten again. I often get nervous each time something involving mud comes on the tv, but fortunately, she hasn't said anything in years. My brother and his wife knew and didn't understand either, but hopefully they have also forgotten about it long ago.
As far as everyone knows, when I want to take a break from helping out on my parents' farm in the spring/summer, I go into the mountains to go cycling and hiking. My dad drops me off in the mountains with my bicycle, saving me 3 hours and wear and tear on my ever increasingly sensitive knees, and I usually return home on my own, although the past couple years I had to be picked up at the end of the day more frequently due to knee issues or lack of daylight left. I have to be careful with my quicksand activities on my computer, which is in one of the main rooms of the basement (my "man cave" with my own 52" LCD TV with a surround sound system). My mom has a craft room nearby where she usually knits and watches her own smaller flat screen tv (my dad watches another 52" TV like mine but with no surround system, upstairs), and each time she comes out, I have to quickly change windows on the display and hope she doesn't see it.
It also makes it a challenge to work on any videos on my computer, since I have to wait for no one to be in the house, or for when I am certain no one will be around me, hence the long time between my actual sinks and when they are finally posted. I also have to wait for them to go to bed upstairs before I can watch any qs material as well. Living a double life does have its moments.

Re: I think its time I introduce myself
Welcome to Quicksand Fans! I happen to like video games too but more of the Super Mario series as you can see from my avatar. There is a lot of quicksand found in the Super Mario games and of course there are usually times that I like to make Mario sink in the quicksand for my own viewing pleasures even though he doesn't like it.
Either way, I hope you enjoy it here!

Huh. That's some incredible foresight (maybe that's not the word I'm looking for) for a 13-year-old. I get that you must've had the feeling your parents would be cool with it beforehand, otherwise you wouldn't have told them, but why hang your hat on merely the possibility of them finding out? Do you conduct all of your relationships in this manner? By disclosing your personal information like that for fear that it will one day be happened upon? I mean if you were worried about it, why not just make a better effort to hide it? Also, to know yourself that well at 13-years-old is pretty astounding. That's around the time I was first typing the word "quicksand" into Google or Yahoo or whatever, having been interested in it most of my childhood. But I had no idea what a "fetish" was, or that it was even something I was "into," just that it made me feel funny inside, and that I wanted to see more.
Props for the huge balls though, I admire that. Way to own it. And it's cool your mom was pretty open too.

Re: I think its time I introduce myself
Hi and Welcome!
Glad you could tell your folks, but even happier at their reaction to it. My father figured out on his own that I enjoyed playing in mud, but he bought the Hollywood idea as to what happened when you got into mud or quicksand that was too deep, and tried to discourage this hobby via corporal punishment. This didn't work.
(You might notice most of my posts are from years ago. For the last several years, I haven't even been a lurker, so I'm now something of a returning regular)
