This is the worst movie ever made ever! It's so crappy! You HAVE TO SEE IT to believe how crappy it is, that's right, buy a ticket to this horrible movie!

Well, I feel a lot better now. I didn't want to be a crab-apple about this since I am a fetishist, and I don't want to diss a movie that showcases fetishes...but I have seen the publicity and this movie looks like the biggest yawn on the planet to me.
I'm getting really set in my ways. I know what I like and I like what I like, and what I like just happens to be quicksand. That's my fetish...quicksand...and this movie is about other people's fetishes.
Now I can justify ignoring "50 Shades" by saying that I read reviews online that say it is TERRIBLE!
Just don't tell anyone that I did invest in a DVD of "Plan 9 from Outer Space".

Ed Wood may have been one of the worst movie makers ever, but he did help care for one of my old time fave horror actors Bela Lugosi.
Want a real snore fest? How about the whole latest series of Atlas Shrugged movies? I only got past the first. One of my lady pals was trying to sell me on the ideas of that sociopathic asshole Ayn Rand. So I agreed to watch this movie based on her boring encyclopedic hack job. Jesus Christ ate a can of beans! What a tripe! Even my friend said it sucked! She actually said it didn't reveal Ayns SUPERIOR intellect!

Yes, and I'm glad that Bela got some work out of it.

I successfully ignored that too.
I just can't get into Rand. Anyway, I don't need her for anything. Why should I listen to her? I feel perfectly capable of deciding, all by myself, how I want to live.

Re: 50 shades?
Off the topic about 50 shades but what the heck. Me and Nessie are talking about one of my fave folks. I was shocked a short while ago when I was searching through Google images, and I searched for Bela Lugosi. It turns out that in the 50,s dear old Bela got married. And the bigger surprise for me was who did the ceremony. None other than Manly P Hall! One of my fave philosophers, and a great man himself! Two of my fave folks in the same pic! It also turned out he and Manly were good friends, and he was a mentor for Bela.
And as for Ayn Rand? I've got good reason to dislike her teachings. She and most of her followers are against any gov subsidies for healthcare. Without this I would probably have died when I was younger. But I still like my friend who quotes her often.
Here's a good joke=How are Ayn Rand followers and fundamentalist Christians alike? After arguing with them you wish you were in Hell!

The Atlas Shrugged movies were a disappointment. I loved the novel and her other books. The whole thrust of Ayn Rand's moral philosophy was that individuals should live according to their natures whether "society" approves or not. That should resonate with any fetishist. That is my only point here. I have no interest in arguing the merits of her ideas since this is not a philosophy board and there are plenty of boards elsewhere to argue with interested parties to your heart's content.

Fair enough. I have friends from both sides of the spectrum, and most of our arguments are polite. I do have difficulties being objectionable occasionally.
