I like every single quicksand story out there, they all show us all the good writers out there. I really enjoy Derek Jayson, Crypto, Der Mud Gecko, Black Squirrel, and Foster Blake. To see your name up there with other writer's out there is a nice feeling. Glad some of you liked my stories. i have been writing them since I was about 8 years old, those stories back then were really bad now that I look back on it, the stories i wrote later on were ok but I just never really thought about letting anyone read them for the fact that, I thought that they would think I was crazy, or psycho, or both. And then i got a computer, and BOOM, I found all of you and then I found out that I wasn't as crazy as I thought I was, It's because of you that I wrote all those stories. I haven't done anything in years, been busy, you know like getting old! I have been writing things down and I think it's time to start writing again! I hope that have something up somewhere in a few weeks! Thank you all again for the kind words! V/R

Two stories that jump out at me, are "THE TRUTH ABOUT QUICKSAND" BY BLACK SQUIRREL, AND "SUPERGIRL IS DEAD" BY ACIDTESTER! Those two are like Holy Hell Batman, talk about a one, two punch!

Mire by Brand is my all time favorite. Other than that PM2K is the best

Nice to see fear359 here. My short list of favorite stories are his Safari Twins and the Cheerleaders. I think there are a few more, but I haven't gone through my collection for quite a while.

I rather liked some of the tales of Lord Malaphus. He sadly deleted his whole profile. I think he had potential. My last private message with him was pretty incoherent.

Never did manage to win a single one of those.
Ostrander is up there, and I fondly remember Messy Ivy's stories. I'm sure there are more that will come to me after I post.

Thanks! I didn't try to mention everybody, but your stories are some of my favorites also. Was "Queen of Swords" your work? It's always fun borrowing (with permission) somebody else's characters and/or playing around in their universe.
Full disclosure: For the benefit of new members, I used the handle "ostlandr" on another QS forum. Not sure now why I used a different handle for this forum, or why I never changed it later.
The only quicksand story that ever really scared the crap out of me was Fred588's "The Quicksand Pipe".
It's not Stephen King or H. P. Lovecraft scary, but the way Fred captured what was going on in the character's head was amazing.
I also dimly recall that some of the more entertaining role-plays from a certain QS forum got turned into story form and posted. Some of those were hot.

Well, getting away from off topic posts, Fear 359 and Foster Blake... Black Squirrel... and a few others Were my favorites. Donna, when she began posting as Plain Jane... I had some nice long conversations with her until her untimely passing. I miss her very much. I posted quite a few stories in the old forum but I don't think I have on this one... Robicheau's Bog, Field Problem, The Chutist to name a few. I guess they weren't as good as some of the classics, or at least not so memorable. LOL
EDIT: Oh yeah... The Entomologist... That seemed to be a popular one back in the day...
