Interstate Constuction Works

Postby kham » Fri Mar 20, 2015 2:35 am

Who hasn't encountered the usual roadwork on the interstate? And the inevitable delays, and zigging and zagging. But at night. And when you tired. You run into these things

One hell of an adrenalin rush, and wakeup. But I do wish they would try and get these sections done the soonest

There's a bridge going up on my way to work, they're building the pier that's right next to the existing roadway and they have these set up on one side, on the other side is a sheer cliff. Not enough room for a center divider. Can basically reach out and slap the guy going the other way at 40 mph.

:D
I would have felt less stressed in the BMW but in the F150, you have a greater sense of your width and size :)

The zigs and zags never bother me too much, but the trench runs always seem to happen at night, or when you tired, or both :D

Yep. Now, if only I had torpedoes to fire at the Ahole at the front of the column, who's driving 20 mph slower than the guy ahead of him, no matter how far ahead that guy gets...

"Lost Tyree. . . lost Dutch. . . they get behind you, and you can't maneuver in the trench. . ."

Funny that the guys driving 18-wheelers seem to fit between the barriers better than my arch-nemesis, Captain Buick of the Geezer Patrol.

I read that as "Captain Buck of the Geezer Patrol", but heard it in the voice of the guy that did the spoken parts of the song "Convoy", back in the 70's...
