Thank you Dave, Fred and Nessie for doing this vice short, and thank you to your great models for participating. I always thought growing up that I was alone in this strange quicksand fetish which I could never explain why I have, and believe it was something I was born with. It's good to have plenty of company in a fetish that really is obscure and bizarre to most people.

I keep focused on my career as an attorney, and family, since I do not participate in real life sinking as I used to before, but the deepsinking and then quicksandfans site has allowed me to continue to enjoy the fetish. Now with the oobleck your introducing, I think the scenes are incredible, and love the added component of the genuine struggle of each model to escape the pit. It makes me what to get back to sinking in some areas I know around here, which I keep in the back of my mind.

I appreicate all your hard work, as I could tell from the vice short that a lot of effort with little monetary return goes into the videos and pictures expressing your quicksand fetish, and allowing people like me to enjoy your work.

I thought that the piece was rather respectful of the community. I also can now associate Dave's name to his person, which is always interesting. Having met Fred in person (and working with him in 2007) it's good to meet those with whom who share this rather intimate and important life detail. Who knows -- someone may some day actually meet me?

That's what I really liked about the piece is it allowed me to place faces and voices to the names. I can safely say I can sit down and have a beer (or non-alcoholic alternative) with Dave, Nessie and Fred.

They showed up in October and it had been just a bit over two years since I filmed a thing. I never did stop sinking for my own enjoyment but it is less than it used to be, because I ain't no spring chicken -- and, yes, I came out of retirement for Vice, and am almost certainly headed back to retirement now.

I've had a surprising amount of positive feedback from people who are really glad I participated.

There was a lot more than got in the film. I can report that despite the cold-weather gear he was forced to wear lest he become a Jeddcicle, Jedd had a blast in the quicksand. The mudpit was in fine form that day -- very thick and gooey. He got a little taste of an experience that not many people get to experience. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I gave him the only natural mudpit he got to try.

If I did the news it would have to be actual news and not propaganda or fluff. I have thought, some but not all that deeply, about trying to do voice recordings of things such as famous speeches.
