Shooting the Double Barrel 1911 Again (AF2011A1) from Arsenal Firearms they say again, because the last time they only put 2 rounds out

These guys at least admit there very little practical application for this beast, other than big-game guys as backup, and the more realistic answer "because we can!"

Fifty-six hundred -fracking-dollars....

The cost doesn't come from the number of barrels, they're a really high end company making them one at a time by hand.. I've seen Nighthawk Custom 1911's in that price range that only had one barrel. Be cool to see what one of the el cheapo manufacturers like Rock Island could sell one for.

Practicality wise......I want to laugh at it but a double tap with one trigger pull ain't no joke.
Probably a little on the heavy side the the form factor is still reasonable. Definitely not a concealed carry piece but would ride fine in a drop leg holster. It's only .45 ACP so recoil is controllable once you get used to it.

One thing I wonder about--when you fire two rounds simultaneously side by side like that, does it affect accuracy?. I'm thinking along the lines of air cavitation and stuff like that.

Biggest issue--it fires more than one round with each pull of the trigger.......I bet the the fucking assholes at the BATF would make you do NFA registration on it.

Going through the minutae, the pistol's weight stated as 2200 grams ~ 2.2 kilos ~ 77 -odd ounces -empty should soak up a lot of the recoil ; the guys stated that perceived recoil should only be 40-50% more than a normal .45

The hits on the target (the fellas here no Hickok...) seem to come in pairs. We'd really need to put this monster in Hickok's hands or someone even more technically bent to go through all the math and dispersion, ballistics stuff. Probably not a factor as long as say inside 15 yards.

I dont think they have any legal issues with it; consider it fire rate similar to a double-barrel shotgun, or other fancier newer machines. They wouldn't be marketing it if it was going to be a problem.
