Quicksand is my number one ferish, but it has many distant cousins in the erotic distress family. That is the greaf thing about quicksand is that you can combine it with snakes, tentacles, giant worms etc. and have a pretty good mental movie of different scenarios. Jungle peril covers almost all of these distress situations also, it' s not just quicksand. Just wondering if anybody else regards quicksand with other different perils. Peace.

As a writer, I make a point to weave quicksand with other interests - obviously, writing standalone QS fiction can become very stale. I'm personally drawn into the Embarrassed Nude/Undressed Female (ENF/EUF) element - leading to many of my stories involving characters being partially or fully stripped. Bondage is also appealing, but I don't work that into my plotlines often.

I'm glad you started this thread. It's the same for me, always has been. For me, it's: quicksand/tar pits #1, python/constrictors #2, spider webs #3 and I guess tentacles like octopus, etc kinda fall in with constrictors. Also, more recently, giant woman eating plants have been making their way into my area of interest. Especially if they come equipped with tentacles.
Strict bondage by itself has never really done a lot for me but I can see the element of it in my jungle peril interests. If it's something from the natural world (or supernatural) that's doing the restraining, somehow that makes all the difference to me. Don't know how to explain that.

I would say my interests change in intensity but my top five would have to be
*Quicksand
*Restrictive bondage (Think gagged, can't use hands or move arms.)
*Caught in a Spider's web
*Trapped, restrained and swallowed whole by plants/pythons
*Drugged (Think the Blowgun series from Fred, poison Ivy's pheromones, Kaa's eye hypnotizing)

Quicksand/bog sinking first, but followed very closely by related ones, like sand or grain sinking or burial, blob vore or soft vore (no chewing). Wet cement sinking/burial as a peril always gets me going, although it is an acquired taste.

Hot wax as a peril - as in the Mystery of the Wax Museum - has a certain appeal, as long as the wax is soft enough to flow like syrup, and not burn the victim. (Well, it is a fantasy, after all...)

I find carnivorous plants and snake constriction/swallowing pretty darned cool too.

Mummification - in the sense of wrapping folks up in tape or long stripes of cloth, and not actually preserving someone - also has its good points with me.

I'm totally with you on this. I'm not so much a fan of the sink-to-her-doom stuff but I absolutely love seeing a pretty girl helplessly stuck. Of course glue is my favorite, and while I'm not big on vore it is a great peril that goes with so many gooey situations. I do love a good perverted blob attack, and gooey sticky bondage goes perfectly with tentacles and other torments. I'd love to see a girl get her feet stuck in stretchy goo, have her hands tied (if they weren't before she got stuck) and then be tickled relentlessly while she struggles. So many ideas...

two scenes I wish had damsels. Flash Gordon scene where he falls in quicksand, then pulls himself out, and while lying on the ground gets enveloped in some sort of slimy alien blob. Wish it was a damsel. Next scene, the movie krull. Two of the male characters are trapped in a chamber where spikes are closing in on them, threatening impalement, a very intense scene, wish it was damsels. Of course, I prefer for a happy ending where the damsels escape, this type of peril can be regarded as sexually charged, like quicksand.
