Here's a Jungle Jim comic of some sort, plus the first part of a story in a horror comic.

Here's the complete page from 'Lois Lane's Love Trap' - Superman's Girlfriend Lois Lane #52

So... Lois really thinks it is a good idea to get her namesake to wade out into quicksand to attract a man? No wonder Superman had to keep rescuing her... ;)

Thanks for the page. :D

Here's one which asks the question... which is more painful: no quicksand in a scene which begs for it, or a near miss like this?

Forty+ years ago even the thought of Veronica Lodge in quicksand would have kept that comic book under my bed forever.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

Apparently, there have been a couple...
Archie's Girls Betty and Veronica #146 - a story called Swamp Buggy sounds promising... as Veronica handcuffs herself to Archie to wreck his date with Betty... which is a trek through a swamp....

The story got reprinted in Archie Comics Digest (Archie, 1973 series) #1 (August 1973)

Never saw it myself, but hope springs eternal... :D

kinda sounds like this one:

Also someone recounted one where veronica brings imported sand to a beach, but it rains and turns to goo.

Sweet! :D

There is another one, where Ronnie is dragged along on a nature hike and all sorts of things happen... fining a soft spot in the marsh is one of them,,, she sinks to her waist in muck and is hauled out by Archie. I have seen it, but damned if I can recall its title. Maybe Nature Girl...
