I vote for dialing the consistency in so that they can almost run across it and almost get out without help. And if you make it deep enough, maybe the ladies can almost stay above the surface.

Practice of everyday struggle for survival?

In fact, the stuff here was too liquid. In the Brazilian shows the stuff was of various thickness, and we could see, that with more liquid stuff they can't stay on the surface, but can get out after they sink; with thicker stuff they can run on it, but once they sink - they are trapped. I vote for thicker stuff!

Well, I wish I had access to all the material shot with all the cameras  I can imagine what a great moments of struggle are there.

The first one who gets a customer to donate a ridiculous amount of money for an expensive pit that lasts only one day. 8-)
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

Just how expensive would it be? I know I'd toss in quite a bit to see this come to fruition.

I missed this post the first time so will respond now. Duncan is quite right; the answser is when someone covers the cost. As to that, I'd estimate the cost to amount to four figures, with the first digit not a 1, 2, or 3. Aside from the corn starch itself, you'd need some heavy mixing equipment, a crew of probably three, abd then some heavy-duty disposal costs. Throw in half a dozen models and your into five figures. And all that for a shoot of one day and maybe two.
