I stumbled upon this on the internet

There's a list of scenes from a variety of sources (literature, TV Shows, Films etc.)

Not sure if there's anything new in there that people weren't aware, maybe someone wants to check, but thought it would be of interest to people.

I love this particular reference -

The porn director Dave Lodoski specialises in fetish films which feature women (usually naked) sinking, and usually drowning, in quicksand; their last words are invariably, "This SUCKS sooooooo bad!

Credit the original use of that line to Kristine.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

The same page has a reference to "the most accurate portrayal of quicksand in a movie"; from "Ice Cold In Alex".
"Aaaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhh! Quicksand! I'm sinking! I'll go straight to the bottom of.......GLURP!"
(a month later)
"Ugh! Yukkkh! Ptui! I'm out of it! I'm free! Not even quicksand can defeat the power of.....the Eye of Zoltec!"
