Poll: Clay Sinking or Peat Sinking?

Postby DimensionPizza » Mon Nov 30, 2015 11:04 pm

Which one do you think is better? Clay or peat?

I like clay better because it looks so awesome all the time.

I gotta go with peat because it looks so much more natural. Like something you could find walking through the woods. Plus, it reminds me of the best Hollywood scenes which were what caught my attention back when I was a little kid. I'm into the melodramatic scenes so peat just seems so much more realistic to me.

Do tidal mudflats count as clay? Deep Sinking in that stuff is quite difficult but I like how sticky it is and how it clings on your clothes... Peat is much more easy to sink and to disappear in it. In comparison you come back relatively clean.
So: Both!!

For me it has to be peat. The sort found on misty marshy moors or even in some wooded areas but it also has to be nice and thick not only to become well and truly stuck but it also means a good slow sink with plenty of struggling too, not forgetting that lovely slurp it makes.

I do love a good Mire!!

I also like the peat for it's natural look. It's dark and the surface moves a lot more seductively as the damsel struggles.

Depends. Peat for dramatic and spooky scenes, clay for erotic.

Clay of course, most of all. With that cracked surface that gives way under your feet. What about saturated silt? I like that too.
