It's exactly what it sounds like. Have you ever had a dream where you or a friend, anyone, were in quicksand? This is the thread to post it.
A few nights ago, I had a dream that 4 of my story characters, Breanna, Abigail, Tessa, and Tirah were sinking in my Oregon creek mud spot, in chest waders, and they sank under one by one, while I was filming.

Re: Quicksand in Dreams
Sadly, as much as I would love to, I almost never dream about quicksand. I think I may have had like 2 qs dreams in my entire life and I don't really remember them.
It's probably for the best though, as my wife tells me I talk in my sleep.
Now, if you count day dreams, I lost count of those back when I was about 15.

Re: Quicksand in Dreams
I almost never dream about quicksand unfortunately (though I often daydream about it). One particular dream I had was that there was quicksand in the Bermuda triangle. This quicksand appeared like peat, but it would swallow a beach ball and was absolutely bottomless (infinite depth). But seriously brain Bermuda triangle? My dreams never make any sense.

Re: Quicksand in Dreams
I have periodic dreams containing quicksand, including some over these past weeks.
In one dream, I was walking along a shoreline, water to my left, and at the end of the beach, it narrowed, and was littered with loose chunks/piles of sand, likely fallen from a sandy cliff or embankment to my right. Because it had fallen onto the shore by the water, it easily saturated with water, turning into quicksand, but it was just very shallow, the depth being the height of the pieces that had fallen, perhaps only around 6 to 8 inches at most. But, just a little ways further down the shoreline, the area below the embankment widened, and instead of a shoreline covered with loosely fallen sand, it was flat ground with more of a darker type of soil, almost peaty looking. To my right, away from the shoreline, it seemed as though I remembered that area from another time in my "dream world". There were a few raised circular patches of peaty mud, raised like mud volcanoes, but peaty instead of clay. I leaned over to examine and probe the one farthest from shore with my hand, noticing that it seemed to be very watery with some thicker chunks of peat mud floating in it, not really worth sinking into. I then walked around to the other side between that one, the backside of an adjacent one closer to shore, and the embankment that led back towards the water, and suddenly found that the ground beneath my feet, between the outside of those mud holes and the embankment, began to quake and give way, causing me to begin sinking. It looked like peat, but gave way like quicksand. But, no sooner had I started to sink, when I woke up.
Several nights later, I was having another dream, where I was walking around some buildings somewhere that seemed rural, when all of a sudden, I became "lucid"!
I seemed to recognize the area, and headed straight towards a spot behind (to the left of) some old dark wooden building/structure, and there before me, were three mudpits, which looked like clay. I looked at them again, and one to my right looked slightly dried on the very top surface. Because I was "lucid" this time, I remembered how in so many of my dreams I had encountered mud and would avoid it because of fear of being caught, since someone was always around, or I would be someplace near residences. But, this time I was going to do it!
I jumped into one (I think I meant to jump into the one to my right, but wound up in the one to my left), and sunk right down to my waist, the soft clay feeling soooooo wonderful!
I tried to struggle to sink deeper, and because I was lucid, I tried using my imagination to make myself sink deeper, picturing it in my mind. But, my "feelings" from the experience started to get above a certain threshold, causing me to wake up.
The most recent one, just the other night, I had a shallow rectangular pit dug (perhaps only a foot deep, 4 feet wide and 7 feet long, but just rough guesses), prepared for mixing sand and water into it, but I never got to that point (or I did it partially previously, but then it was undone and I wasn't able to do it over again). There were other bits of things concerning walking around muddy areas, but it was more like very shallow mud in a field, and nothing deep.

Re: Quicksand in Dreams
I never really had before, but in the past few months I had a few. My memories from dreams are always kinda vague, though.
There was one where I was walking down the road that my high school was on with some friends, both guys and gals. Which, in real life, is generally not a good idea, as its a well traveled 55mph speed limit state route. We crossed a small bridge, and to our left was this giant lake of mud. We decided to play in it. If you jumped off the bridge, the fall was far enough to take you all the way under right away.

Re: Quicksand in Dreams
One dream I had about a gal friend I mentioned to her and it was cute to see her reaction.
I found her up to her wasit and it took me a bit to get to her. When I mentioned how deep she was at first she was surprised and interested. WHen I told her when I finally got to her she had sunk to her arm pits. She couldn't believe how deep she went before I got her out. After a few minutes she told me "I know it wasn't real but thanks for pulling me out."
Another gal friend I dreamed about sank to the same depth before I got her out. She was just as interested. What was funny she asked "Was I all muddy?" I was like "Of course."

Re: Quicksand in Dreams
I've probably dreamt about QS about 10 times in my life. The most recent was about 8 months ago and I posted about it here on QSFans. I have no doubt I've probably dreamt about on countless other occasions, I just don't remember the dreams.

Re: Quicksand in Dreams
I dreamed a few times about quicksand, it was like entered a valley with giant sand/clay baths that were bubbling, then I stood on the solid ground watching the bubbling sand and jumped into it, it felt really nice.
What I can remember is that it felt like a bit cold sticky liquid filling my underwear, then when I was enjoying I woke up because my radio went of to prepare for work

Re: Quicksand in Dreams
I'll have these dreams where I'm outside at some remote location and suddenly my brain gets the knowledge or memory that some mudpit is near. And then in my dream I start running around looking for the mud pit! But, I almost never find any actual mud ... what a tease

Re: Quicksand in Dreams
Oh man I've had so many dreams with quicksand in them. Sometimes I had dreams where it would be my boyfriend and I and other dreams they would have just me and Mario in them as I am the video game nut. My dreams are a little screwy as well.
