I like my vehicles to be semi disposable. Nothing annoys me more then the guy like Dave saw with the H2......awesome expensive toy.....but you're not using it. What's the point of having a Hummer if you're not going to get it dirty. Hell I've had my Wrangler fully air born twice lol. Drive that shit like you stole it.

Pretty much my point. lol

A Tahoe is no jeep, but it facilitated all of the Canadian bog scenes that we have been enjoying.

One of the best moments of the trip for me was when an ATV driver told me I was 'adventurous' for driving back where Boggy Man was guiding us. So, unlike (probably) 98% of Tahoe/Suburban owners, I actually have not always treated it like a station wagon. :)

Dirty? Fully air born? Total off-roading in a brand new shiny truck is not happening. I estimate ten years before off-roading happens with this truck. A lot of my friends go off-roading all the time.
Damage has already happened. I was parallel parked, and the vehicle behind me hit the taillight when they were leaving. And I was mad about a broken taillight.

Rock bumpers......

Buddy at work has the one for his Ram. Destroyed a deer with it and the only repair required was to hose the blood and hair off.

Don't forget the time you hauled it's weight or better in clay on one trip. At highway speeds. Or the time you used it to literally drag a high centered Ford Ranger. Or tow a cement mixer cross country. Or...yeah, enough.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

The old Beetles are cool cars. The fact that there's so many still on the road tells you all you need to know. Also perfect vehicle for modding if you want to get your Mad Max on.......Baja Bug is on my list of vehicles to own before I die.

My friend had a project 1967 beetle that is electric. Unfortunately, it was recently stolen, and he has been going ballistic over it being gone.
