My check engine light came on a while ago. Easy fix, just reached behind the dashboard and pulled out the bulb, never came on again.

I just do what my dad does when there is alarm beeping...I turn the radio volume up.

Nope, just consulted my handy dandy code reader and figured out it was a bad catalytic converter. No emissions sticker required where I live so the choice was deal with the light or buy $1,000 exhaust parts that I don't need.....yea if you buy one thing for your car buy a code reader.

I've had clients who would think this way. But you can't cure stupidity.

Yeah, I've got an OBD box that displays to my iPhone. I can read the trouble codes and make corrections to that "Check Engine" light from there.
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.
