SuperGirl in Quicksand!

They just had a QS scene in Supergirl, and yes, it her. It was short, and kind of lame in some ways, didn't make sense in others, but she's very very cute and it was a nice surprise.

It's the new "Childish Things" episode that aired tonight. Supergirl landed on top of a huge toy box and fell through the trap door lid where the quicksand sucked her down up to her waist. It looked pretty CGI. Wish it would've been practical dry sand at least.

As far as mainstream quicksand scenes go, this is actually pretty good. It's not a rapid plop-and-sink; the characters are aware of the substance and play with it, and it's used for dramatic effect. The CGI is a little obvious, but I don't expect too much.

I think this opens up a whole new world for supergirl in quicksand. Although it was not much of sinking, just the concept of a beautiful supergirl being stuck in quicksand is very appealing. I wish they have more mainstream episodes in other shows like this. Shows in the 70s like Gilligan's Island, Get Smart, and even more movies had quicksand episodes. I wonder how much appeal this had to the character of being in quicksand. Probably none, but the supergirl movie had a quicksand and some trapped scenes which was very appealing. You never know with actresses. Amanda Bynes and Cate Blanchett both once said how they enjoyed being in mud.

I've waited a lifetime for something like this, no not "something like this", exactly this.
It's wasn't great, or all I ever hoped for, but I am grateful that she ended up in quicksand no matter how it was executed.
She makes an absolutely gorgeous supergirl.
I love the dude's commentary too. "I understand you need oxygen too, soon you won't be able to breathe"
I couldn't have written the dialogue better.
"I wouldn't do that..."
