Just got an idea for a scene

The idea: There's a soccer game going on. It was a heavy rainstorm last night. As one of the players nears the goal, they suddenly plunge into mud up to their chest. Then everyone puts their effort into getting her out. It would be like field soccer, not like pro stuff. Came up with this while watching a completely unrelated YouTube video. Your thoughts on this idea?

The idea is an interesting one but not so practical as suggested. For the story to take place during a game it would need to take place on a soccer field and I think it would require too many people.

You could change the game to a practice. A few of the girls decided to practice on the field before their next big game since the heavy rain storm canceled the team practice the night before.

One way something like this might be done could be to: 1) make the quicksand encounter take place in a dream, perhaps after some coach has criticized players for "playing like your feet are shin deep in quicksand," and 2) using a blue screen technique to create a soccer-field-like background behind a pit. This means that the blue screen itself is set up behind the real pit. It also requires footage of a soccer field, take from the correct angle and with enough detail in the upper half or third of the frame to identify it as a soccer field. Such a scene would benefit, obviously, by having one or two soccer uniforms and at least one ball.

Thinking about it that does sound like a better idea.
