Anyone here ever have or currently have a "fetish buddy"?

I'm a young lady in her mid 20's. I guess you could say I have two fetish buddies. One named "Chris" the other named "Tony" those are not their real names. I won't reveal what their fetishes are nor will I reveal mine. I want to protected everyone's identities. I met "Chris" in college, when I was 18, because he was my friend's roommate. He and I are the same age. I didn't learn of his fetish until a few years into our friendship. He brought it up at random and the fact that he trusted me enough to tell me about his fetish made me feel special! Of course, I reacted positively to his confession. At the time, I wasn't fully aware that I myself had a fetish, it was he who suggested that I might have one after I made an unusual comment to him. As time went on, college didn't work out for him, so he got whatever job he could find. He came to visit me when I was in college and I let him engage with his fetish, with me! It was great! I know many of you may be freaking out over the age difference, but please believe me when I say "Tony" is a good man and I can honestly tell that he cares about me. Then things took a turn for the worse. I won't go into detail about what happened. Let's just say I messed up a good relationship. I took our special relationship away from him. I don't know if I can forgive myself for that! He doesn't deserve the hell I put him through! It took a long time for me to figure out the root of our problems. It's me, I'm the problem. Instead of expressing my feelings and concerns with him, I go about solving the problems the wrong way. For an example, I learned some things about him that scared me. Things that made me feel like he was capable of doing something hurtful. Instead of talking to him about it, I, in a way, tried to prevent him from doing something hurtful in the future. It backfired. Something similar happened when I had my "jealousy blow up". I was hurt by something he did and blew up at him. I still feel bad about it and it happened last year! I didn't tell him what was really bothering me, only a small part of it. I went about things the wrong way. By the way, I've overcome my issues with jealousy and I must say, I am a happier person! I really hope "Tony" and I's friendship will get better, but I'm not holding my breath.

I don't know, I talked to "Chris" on the phone yesterday and read "Tony" and I's old messages and that's what got me thinking about fetish buddies. i used to play an online fantasy wizardry-warfare game... it was text based, so all interactions were typed out... my main character was a kind of werewolf warrior-mage, but i had a few minor characters
people being people, males and females often paired off, and i had a succession of wives or lovers (and yes, i'm aware that some of them may have been catfishing, but the couple of times i met other players in person, the females were all genuine)... most of them were willing to play along when i would pull a set of iron fetters out of my backpack and "chains your wrists to the bedpost" and would write a sensual response, but they may have just been humoring me

but one of my gals had her own agenda... she was willing to be bound or chained, but at some point she wanted her character to be spanked, quite hard... so in my backpack i picked up a hairbrush and a small bullwhip...
sadly she left me when i wasn't into bringing other males into our "playtime"

Oh wow! Your story was very interesting, yet sad. I love personal stories and enjoyed this one very much! I can't believe she left you for those reasons! I highly value my guys and there's a very short list of conditions under which I would leave them or any future friends for that matter. A) If they murder[ed] someone B) If they set someone on fire or otherwise burn someone on purpose C)If they have an attraction to children (that's a tricky one) and D) If they become abusive towards me. Other than that, I wouldn't leave them unless they wanted to be left.

not as much as a couple of my other Game relationships... she was the most interesting in terms of a fetish, but wasn't really open about herself... i think more about the ones where we made a deeper connection beyond the game, talked about our real lives

I don't know as I would be willing to tell actual stories, but yes, I have had fetish buddies, although in my world they were called "mud partners".

I personally believe that it's important not to confuse fetish-buddyhood with true love and a lifelong relationship. For me it was more like having a "best pal" with who I was very comfortable who also shared my interest in quicksand. We hit the mudpits and then just went on with separate lives when it was over.

I think that if one exercises a reasonable amount of caution in the getting-to-know-you stage, a fetish buddy can be very valuable. It beats the snot out of just trying to say no to what can be very strong urges.

Yeah, I see what you mean about getting to know each other. "Chris" and I were good friends before fetishes came into the picture. "Tony" and I met because of a shared fetish, so we were fetish friends first. I'd like to think we are friends too, not just fetish buddies, but I don't how he feels about it. I do think he and I are a good match as far as fetish buddies are concerned because we're both so open minded and willing to participate. We've shared fantasies with each other that would make other people cringe, but neither of us were fazed! lol! Never in my life have I met someone that open minded!

Looking back at "Tony" and I's relationship, reading the emails and messages and whatnot, I wish I'd done things differently. The way we reacted to each other at times seemed dysfunctional, in my opinion. I wish I'd express my concerns to him, like an adult, instead of holding things in and playing games with him. I can't and don't regret the relationship we had and I know that with a lot of time and a little hard work, we might be able to salvage our friendship. I still have issues and concerns about "Tony" but can't find the strength to tell him how I feel. After all, what's the point? Why risk hurting his feelings or upsetting him if things won't change? He can't help how I feel. But I do understand that communication is important in a relationship. I have to think about what it is I should do.

"Chris" and I have been friends for about seven years, and we are still going strong. I was in love with "Chris" a few years back but never told him. I think he and I are still going strong because I never told him. That was tough to deal with especially with him having a girlfriend, but I got over it a year later! lol! I'd like for "Tony" and I to remain friends and for things to get better, but if things don't work out I can at least walk away knowing I had the distinct pleasure of meeting the world's coolest guy!

I think having a fetish buddy is one of the best relationships anyone with a fetish could have. I'm glad a few people here have gotten to have the experience!

I am writing this without re-reading it so I hope I am not mis-remembering details. It revolved around a pair of women, presumably a lesbian couple. One of them, I'll call F1 here, finds a receipt indicating that F2 has purchased TWO tickets for a visit to Psychic World. She becomes suspicious that perhaps F2 is having an affair. F1 then buys a ticket of her own, for the same night.

Inside Psychic World, F1 searches around and suddenly finds F2 in a pit of quicksand, making out with F3. She becomes confrontational, but F2 reveals that F3 is not real. She is just a projection. This almost defuses the situation but F2 is still making out even if it is with a projection. Then it is revealed that F2 is ALSO a project. The real F2 appears at the edge of the bog. The entire cheating scene came from the fears of F1. Then the question arises, "Where did the quicksand come from?" It is suggested that perhaps F1 has an secret desire about quicksand. It is revealed that the second ticket was for F1.
