Summon Night: Twin Age for the DS has a good amount of desert and forest areas, each of them with varying distributions of quicksand and poison swamp patches, which slow down the player, making him/her an open target to enemy mobs. I'm sure that a number of you probably heard of this from TVTropes, but such things need to be seen to be believed.
UPDATE (03/03/16): It has come to my attention, after going over the game, that there are also patches of cave muck as obstacles, which may or may not be poisonous. You may refer to the link, which has been updated.
Also, here's a treat for each of you: A collection of clips from Crackle Cradle Plus, where the girls with some changes to their outfits struggle and sink in quicksand.

Here's a throwback clip from my childhood: JumpStart Adventures 3rd Grade: Mystery Mountain. One of the minigames here, the Robot Maze, which is intended to bolster logical-mathematical abilities, has waist-deep quicksand pits as one of many obstacles. This is one of the driving forces back then that has sparked my interest in quicksand.

That has to be the best quicksand and tar I have ever experienced in a video game. Wow.......just wow.

Here's the quicksand swamp from the 2nd level of Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame, which was mentioned in an earlier post from this thread, now put in action.

Ages ago I recall, Mario teaches typing. the second area of the castle level would have you typing sentences. but through the warp pipe, was a pit of quicksand that you had to swim through, more mistakes meant that you fell deeper.
Not sure if there still is a way to capture this. but as you might can guess I'd always choose peach. then set my skill level to get to the castle right away, get to the second practice and purposefully fail.

Thanks for the info, Arisu. With that in mind, I've gone around to record a clip from the game, which includes both cases of success and failure in said area.

Eh? I loaded it through Firefox, and it plays in the browser without any problem. What browser are you using? If it isn't your browser, perhaps the video didn't load properly due to your internet speed or something.
