on the show, this is about as deep as she gets, right?

Yeah, as much as I love and appreciate seeing a mainstream scene featuring Supergirl in qs, I do wish they had handled her sinkage a bit better. They could have had her not figure out to use her freeze breath until she was at least chest deep or so. I mean, she'd already blown that big grinding machine out of path of the drop conveyor. The crate would have fallen and smashed open, giving her one heart-stopping moment, then she would have seen it was just a doll. At that point, she could focus entirely on her struggle to get out of the quicksand and having a harder time of it. Still, I'm pleased and amazed that we got this at all. Definitely buying the Blu-ray when it comes out, lol. :D

The first drawing I ever posted, in 1999, was supergirl in quicksand laced with kryptonite.
Red kryptonite, which doesn't hurt her, just takes away her powers.

Anyways, I too think that this scene wasn't great, but a blessing that it exists at all.
I love this remake of it, and I'm looking forward to the possibility of a different ending to the scene.
Great work in this!!!
