In the 9th act of the Salvage Chute from the NES game Bucky O'Hare, the segment is filled to the brim with a red substance, presumably slime or mud, which the player sinks into, and can be bypassed through by jumping on the floating metallic cubes.

As mentioned by Aiko in the first page of the thread, the King's Quest series of PC games, namely the fourth and sixth installments, have their own occurrences of bottomless swamps. Here is a video where the protagonists sink into those mires.

That's pretty cool. Love the text balloons. :)

From the PSP game, Brave Story: New Traveler, there is a cutscene where the party sinks in desert quicksand, where they end up in the Desert Ruins.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 has the Dead Bog, which has poisonous gases and whirlpools that have creatures out to get the player.

Some of you are going to like this...

I wanted to give something back to the community as appreciation for what I consider the best QS, mud and tar game simulator that I have greatly enjoyed recently, namely CrackleCradlePlusDEMO.

Since I prefer my ladies to be barefoot when they encounter their particular sticky and/or sinking perils, I decided to try fiddling with the existing demo to see if I could get these 3 brave lasses to kick off their shoes and stockings for lil' ol' me.

After hours of doing experiments and encountering frustrating visual flaws and errors, I was finally successful in talking them into it, and now you get to share in my success.

Let me know if you encounter any problems. I assume it will work on ALL PCs that the demo is compatible with.

Wonderful job, Bog Dog! A neat token of appreciation for what could be a new standard in video game QS, and proof that you enjoyed it a lot. The clothing system is designed to function in that manner, where users can replace or modify the player sprite's original outfit fully or partially with ease, which is kind of great in my opinion.

I already did. Unfortunately, these appear to be young girls with very under-developed, pre-teen-like bodies, so I felt it might not be appropriate. Last thing I want to do is assist in introducing a new form of child porn ;)

Oh. I see. Well, maybe there should be one with them in bikinis instead.
