New Comic- Swamp Tales Issue 1

Postby Rusty Shackleford » Mon Mar 28, 2016 9:34 pm

Hey everyone,
After three months of solid work, I've finally got my second full length comic complete. I was looking to do something different from my first one. Still has some signature fantasy elements, but hopefully you appreciate the different direction for this comic series. This took WAY longer than I planned, so my next comics will hopefully be shorter (this one is 23 pages long, in the future I'm looking at 14-16 pages which saves me a month of work).

I'm posting the cover for the comic here, but due to space constraints (did I mention it was 23 pages long?) the rest of it is over at my deviant art page. Plus there is a surprise in there! If interested please check it out.

I'd appreciate any comments, favorites or every downloads you might be willing to give. Seriously, it is always nice to see when someone is reading your stuff and what they think of it.

Rusty

Great work, Rusty! Two tales in one! This obviously took a ton of work with multiple elaborate characters and sets and the dual plot lines.
Great storytelling. And your QS pits are always top-notch. Thanks so much for this! :D :D
How long did Tarzan watch before deciding to save Jill..?

I'm not exactly a fan of vampire stories, but that wasn't halfway bad...

Yeah, this is brilliant! :D

Do you also plan to do a sequel to your Paranormal Nightmares story?

Thank you! I'm so happy this one is finished because it felt like I was working on it forever, and there is so much other stuff I want to do. Very glad you liked it.

Thanks! I do plan a sequel to Paranormal Nightmares. I've actually written the script, but getting around to drawing it is what takes the most time. I'm also envisioning this other comic as a sort of anthology series where I can do one-shot stories. I've got another idea and I've worked up some models for it, so there may be an unconnected sequel to this as well.
