Guess who got a new phone!

Postby 101927700 » Tue Mar 29, 2016 10:11 pm

Hello. Today I got a brand new iPhone 6s. This is my first post here from it! This thing is amazing! Note: I'm not saying that as a way of advertising the phone. I legitimately think it is awesome. I know some of you are probably bigger fans of Samsung, but let's not get into the Apple vs. Samsung debate right now...
I’m not the person I was in 2016.

I'm still amazed at what my junky little flip phone can do. I really want to buy one with a standard USB jack so I can connect direct to the computer, but with TracPhone it's dirt cheap. Can't really justify replacing it until it dies.
Plus I have to carry a Droid for work anyway, so if I need Google Maps, etc. I can get it.
I was watching a commercial the other day (I forget what for) and these doctors were working in a clinic somewhere poor. They were using a smart phone and a wireless Bluetooth-enabled ultrasound transducer. Dang, that's better than Bones McCoy's medical Tricorder! I thought it was cool when I saw a horse vet use a wired one plugged into his laptop. The little credit card scanners are impressive also.

I was once employed by an enormous blue computing entity that referred to Apple as "the little fruit company". One day my wife, who literally won't screw in a light bulb, showed me her new toy, an iPhone 3. Since about that time I've gone through each model, iPads, all kinds of gadgets and apps, etc. Yours is a wonderful product and my daughter has one as well.

Just curious but do you use it for viewing videos here? Does it work well for that?
It's a dirty job but I got to do it for 27 years. Thank you.

I've not tried that on my 6s yet. I view videos here on a Windows 7 PC.
