So why don't you just vote with the 30-somethings, 40-somethings, and 50-somethings right now? You are timeless!!

The poll's rigged so that you only get one vote. I didn't mean to exclude the timeless.
Ooops.
Anyone possessing more than one age may give the numbers of each age they possess in a post, and frequency of sinking sessions for each age; unless any of the ages are under 18, in which case the adult age may describe its experiences in quicksand on this thread while the under-age must wait until its 18th birthday.

It's 12 to 12 with the 20-somethings. You're about to lose your lead.

I'm 49 going on 50, and I'm proud to have been a sinker during that time. And, yes, the interest and desire to go for a nice sink are still there!

Hey, you found my poll!
Look at the numbers! Our age group is runnin' away with it!
40-49 is not stodgy, old or boring. We're out there in the mud! And that makes us the coolest!

Yeah, I'm finally starting to catch up with things here on the forum. Sorry for the delay.
Nice to see we can be in our age group and still be young.

Re: Poll -- World's Oldest Sinker
I have two sinks under my belt.
I was 22 when I had my first sink; I actually remember the date too, just in case I ever feel compelled to celebrate a special little anniversary for myself (Nov. 11, 2007 for those curious).
My second sink was right about a year ago.
I'm now 24.

I'm a late bloomer. My first sink was at age 55, and I am now 58.

Cayolynne,
Wow. I thought that having my first sink at 39 made me a late bloomer. Now that's...(Nessie feels the gray hairs growing under the L'Oreal)...almost a decade ago.
Answers like this give me hope. "She's nine years older than I am now and she can do it..."
I'm surprised that this poll is still getting replies. I posted it because on the subject of sinking, I'm manic. I'll be okay when the day comes that I have to say, "No more mud clips. I'm just too freakin' old!" I probably will, someday, want to shut the computer off too. And stuff like drawing mud pictures or writing quicksand tales...when I'm really and truly old, and can't sink, that'll be the perfect time to get back into it!
But sinking for real? None of us are immortal and some day...something will happen...and I won't be able to do it any more.
When I'm in that wheelchair in the nursing home, I wanna say, "I did it all!" Not, "Gee, why didn't I ever..."

Re: Poll -- World's Oldest Sinker
I'll be 52 in May and I have been sinking for four or five years. I've gone from "what the heck is this goop around my knees" to "I want my head all the way under!!"
I have been looking at my sink sites for a couple of weeks now. The weather in northern sunny KA is breaking some and we've seen some 70+ DegreeF days. I WANT MUD!! I had comments from people when I first started to sink around 2004 that I had lost weight, It's a challenging sport to say the least! We have to battle flora an fauna just to get to our sites AND THEN we have to challenge the mud. It's a lot of freaken work!!
I love it. Still can't get my wife to join me, maybe my daughter someday....She's got that streak in her!
