Those stills were shot at (and in) the cork pit at Studio 588 during what was otherwise a break during a Studio 588 shoot. You are correct that there is no video. This was actually the second pit in which a quicksand producer used cork, so far as I am aware. The first was an indoor set constructed by Mike of WYSVP.

Oh that's a shame. I'm currently working on a story and would like to see how a big skirt like that floats or sinks in quicksand so I know how best to describe it.

Thinking of Marilyn Monroe... I remembered a photo shoot with Stefany wearing a nice dress, the photo shoot was done by Duncan. I share one of this photo shoot:

I love that dress, and was there for that photoshoot -- Stefani is as lovely inside as she is in a quicksand pit.

Nessie is quite right. I have known and worked with Stefani for a decade. Aside from being drop-dead gorgeous she has impressed me as highly capable, highly reliable, extremely helpful, and an all-around good person.

Nessie would be the one to talk to about that. I believe Nessie is the only QS performer to have sunk in a full "Princess Dress" and survived. If you search through her posts on the forum, you might find the story.

Oh yea. This was the first version of the Hollywood Pittsburgh if I recall correctly and the photo shoot was only available as stills. I have this set and it is still awesome.

I rarely say much about the old days any longer but for this lady I'll have to make an exception. They just don't get any better than her and I was very very lucky to work with her a bit.

Fred was in the process of creating what was the most visually stunning location I'd ever seen and the idea that I was there with a camera and Stefani was too much to let get away. It would have been an absolute blasphemy to not get the two together somehow. Fred let me do some test photos if Stefani was up for it and of course she was.

I had always wanted to shoot something that was wardrobed correctly, set correctly, didn't have a video camera in the way, and had the perfect lady in it. Fred agreed, Stefani was there, Nessie helped me with a bunch of stuff, nature cooperated, and it all came together.
