Algosteel Video - Side Tunnel

Postby kham » Wed Jun 22, 2016 3:51 am

Back from last year sailing, some video for looking in the bowels of a ship :)
Ok well at least the side tunnel and engine room, while walking back to avoid the crappy weather. Plus, y'know, video

Creepy. I kept waiting for the Xenomorph to jump out of the ceiling or for the camera to turn around and see the twins from the Shining following behind. :D

Pretty cool seeing that, lots of memories stirred once again.
Would have been entertaining back in the day if anything like a GoPro were to have existed to literally go from stem to stern on one of the carriers I was on....sadly, that was back in the days before even the camcorder!

Clearly , some filmmakers had some experience with some real-world life stuff to inspire them...
Yeah, if you wanted to stage something like that, you would end up scaring the shit out of them. Dark, and damp no less.... cold, puddles of water and sound echoes a bit, maybe strange sounds a nub doesn't know.... pretty much an insta-built horror set if you got permission to shoot. But, all steel and rust, so scantily clad females, OK static shots, but action, ouchie :D

Schlamm , using GoPros these days you seeing more of, but it's still a bit of a blind spot; for some reason the people in industry or cool jobs just don't realize just how cool the footage of ordinary stuff looks to people who have never seen. I probably have more to go through, since the archive in q. was only recently re-found in another laptop. Ah, organizing. And, being in hospital back then . Really does mess with memory :D
