71 Years Ago Today

July 30, 1945. USS Indianapolis. If you've seen Jaws, then you pretty much have the rough outline of the story.
It looks like we will be getting a movie in September on topic, how accurate it will be remains to be seen, but one can always hope.

The trailer doesn't look too ridiculous, being as modern war movies tend to skip over the actual, well, fucking history part....

USS Indianapolis: Men of Courage

I do hope they mention something about how Ernie King, CNO and cocksucking scumbag, was the primary driving force behind the court, ALL BECAUSE, ENSIGN King got his dick slapped by Captain McVeigh Sr back in the day. What a fucking asshole. I hope Dis is still barbecuing the bitch

That PBY was destroyed during the filming of the movie, so I hope its demise wasn't in vain.

Yeah , i remember reading about that. It's a shame when irreplaceable old warbirds get lost, for what was likely very stupid reasons.

On the up side, Fifi now has a companion
Doc first test flight. Not very long, and they kept the gear down, but still nice to see a B-29 in the air
