When I was 17, I got my first vehicle, a 1995 V6 Chevy silverado 1500 pickup, but it was a cheap second hand truck that had too many problems (costed $2500 used). When I was 19, I got rid of it because there was a broken window, the shocks were shot, it had a misfiring cylinder, it's faulty brakes almost got me killed and I was angry.
I was carless while I was finishing college, but one day, this happened about 5 years ago. My grandfather, who has never ever bought me a birthday gift before (until that day), was so kind as to pay half the price of my next car. We got me a brand new beautiful 2SS V8 with over 400hp (But it costed almost 50 grand).
At first, I had tons fun with this epic car, but eventually I was tired of worrying all the time about someone messing with it. I also had very little storage space with the car, and I couldn't even take it down my Aunt's driveway (where I lived recently) because the car was 2-wheel drive, low to the ground, and my aunt's driveway was a complete disaster (tire tracks pressed it so far down that the car got stuck on the middle). I had to park it at the top of the driveway.
I will keep this car forever as a memory, because my grandfather died of a heart attack 3 years ago.
I matured, and I felt that I needed something more useful. Which this is what leaded to me getting a new truck.
I bought a 2015 Silverado 3500 V8 diesel with a crew cab, long bed, and 4WD. This was my dream vehicle!
Problem is, it does not fit in most parking spaces. It costed even more than the car, and my friends and family hate it. But it can tow over 6 tons.
And even though I have this badass truck, I still love my other car too.
